Full Job Description

We have a great reputation for serving up fantastic coffee in both of our coffee shops, but we want more than that - we want to be known for serving up fantastic food as well!

This is where you come in. We need someone who has experience in cake making, a flair for creating new seasonal items like soups & salads, and in an ideal world, experience in catering events.

Working from our central kitchen in Whitchurch, the successful candidate will be able to work well on their own, but will also have support of other kitchen staff as we operate over seven days. Commercial kitchen experience is essential, with costing knowledge, and you will help write up recipes and processes to help ensure consistency in production within the team.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Making up items from our existing menu
  • Using your creativity to design dishes for seasonal and one off specials
  • Help develop our catering offerings for events
  • Baking cakes and food prep for simple, yet high quality dishes
  • Managing ingredient inventory and keeping the kitchen space clean each day in line with EHO requirements
  • Work with GM% and operational targets


Social working hours:  8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required to help cover weekends/holidays) 

Pay 

£22,000 - £25,000.00 per year, depending on experience (Pro-rated if part-time/school hours only)

Experience

Catering: 2 years (preferred)
Cooking: 2 years (preferred)
